What's On

Whilst unable to put on public performances we are maintaining our drama habit by watching streamed performances by the National Theatre and others, followed by a weekly discussion/social meeting - courtesy of Zoom.  We are also planning online play readings and other performance-based activities.  We have held one drama-themed quiz and will plan others in the future.  New members are welcome.

Our Country’s Good

by Timberlake Wertenbaker

‘Our Country’s Good’ is set in the first penal colony in Australia and follows the extraordinary and sometimes hilarious story of their production of a restoration comedy with a cast of convicts.   Their success, achieved despite the brutality and many conflicts of convict and colony life, is heart-warming.

Our cast includes Aaron Baker, Clare Burt, Jason Burt, Andy Horner, Linda Hull, Barbara MacWhirter, Andy Marshall, Paul Pridmore, Richard Sanderson, and Susanna Williams

Funtington Players  are an amateur dramatics club in Funtington, Chichester, West Sussex. We  perform twice a year in April and November for five nights at
The Village Hall, West Ashling.
